A Humvee being towed in a military convoy broke away from the tow vehicle and crashed into another car on Interstate 84 eastbound Monday morning, sending two men to the hospital with minor injuries.

State police said the accident occurred just before 9:40 a.m. near the Schoolhouse Road overpass, when the driver towing the Humvee slowed to allow other vehicles in the convoy to move from the right shoulder to the right lane.
