Volunteers Needed

Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Department

Hawleyville Volunteer Fire and Rescue

Every year members of the Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Department respond to numerous fire/emergency/accident scenes.  We are one of five all volunteer fire and rescue departments that protect the 61 square miles comprising the town of Newtown, Connecticut, and are on call 24/7.

In these demanding, high pressure times, we are looking for men and women that are willing to donate their time to protect their neighbors.  If you are interested in protecting and helping your neighbors, become a member.  Young, old, or in between – we have a need and a job for you,  Our organizations require that our volunteer emergency service members be healthy, ambitious adults, 16 years or older and have the time necessary to complete required training and then be an active responder.
