On Friday September 12th the fire company closed on the property located at 30 Hawleyville road this property was formerly known as the old Hawleyville post office building with .75 acres. The building will be taken down later this year and the property will be turn into a parking lot. This land was purchase for future expansion of the fire station. The fire company has no immediate plans for expansion. The property was purchase from the Housatonic railroad.
